For the player who genuinely wants something dark and does not want another black bag. A deep wine red with enough blue in it to stay rich rather than turn brown, and the most grown-up colour in the range by a distance.

Deep Burgundy Overview

Deep Burgundy changes noticeably between daylight and evening. In daylight the red reads clearly, under floodlight it settles toward something closer to a wine. In a dark colour that shift is a good sign rather than a fault, because it means there is enough chroma in it to move at all. A dark colour that looks identical in every light is usually just black with a hint of something.

It is the colour that goes furthest outside padel. From the court into a restaurant, into a meeting, onto a plane, without reading as sports equipment at any point. If the bag is going to live in your car and come into the rest of your week, this is the one drawn for that.

It is also one of only three finished physical samples that exist in South Africa, alongside Lilac Purple, which means we have seen this colour in the hand rather than only on a screen.

FAQ

Deep Burgundy questions

Three things worth knowing about this colour before you buy it. Everything about the bag itself sits on the bags page.

Red, with enough blue in it to stay rich. The thing that makes a burgundy go wrong is brown creeping in under warm light, and this one holds its red. If you want a straightforward red, Cherry Red is the one.

This one. Pitch Black is the plainest, but burgundy is the one that reads as chosen rather than as default, which is a different thing. It is the colour most often picked by players who want their kit to look considered rather than loud.

It can in flat indoor light, which is a fair warning. In daylight the red is unmistakable and under floodlight it settles toward wine. If you want a dark colour that always reads as a colour, this is as dark as the range goes before Pitch Black.

The NomadX Hardshell Padel Backpack is built around a single padel racket. The shell is moulded compressed EVA rather than padded fabric, so it holds its outline whether the bag is empty or full, and a flat panel of colour reads as one clean block instead of creases and shadow. Inside it carries one racket in its own compartment, balls, a bottle and the small things you actually take to a match, with a lined pocket for your phone, keys and cards. There is no shoe compartment. It is a day bag rather than a kit bag you half fill. Ten colours, all the same bag at the same price. Designed in South Africa, made in China.

The images on this page are digital representations produced from photography of the physical bag. The colour may vary slightly from the product you receive. If the colour is not what you expected, you have seven days from delivery to send it back for a full refund.
