Deep, matte and closer to a pine needle than a sports green. Forest Green is the colour for someone who wants a bag they can find without announcing anything, and it is the one we made more of than any other.

Forest Green Overview

Forest Green holds its depth in flat indoor light, which is where most greens give up and go grey. Under floodlight it stays a solid block rather than catching a shine, so it reads as one clean shape from the far end of a court instead of a patch of glare.

It is the quietest colour in the range that is still unmistakably a colour. If Pitch Black is invisible on a rack and Sunset Orange is impossible to miss, this sits deliberately between them. That makes it the safest first bold bag for someone trading up from something plain, and it is the colour that goes from a Tuesday evening game into a Wednesday meeting without looking like kit.

We made 200 of it, more than any other colour, which is usually a sign that a colour photographs close to how it looks in the hand. On the moulded shell the flat panels catch light in broad sweeps rather than in creases, which is what keeps the depth from flattening out.

Forest Green questions

Three things worth knowing about this colour before you buy it. Everything about the bag itself sits on the bags page.

Close to it. It is a deep matte green with no shine and no sports branding on the outside beyond the zip pull, so it reads as a designed object rather than as equipment. It is darker than it looks on a bright screen.

Yes, though it is not the fastest in the range at that job. Against the black, grey and navy that most racks are full of, a solid block of deep green is easy to pick out. If finding it in four seconds rather than ten matters, Electric Blue or Sunset Orange do it better.

Because it is the colour that works for the most people. It is bold enough to find on a rack and quiet enough to carry into a meeting, which is the widest brief any colour in the range has. We made 200.

The NomadX Hardshell Padel Backpack is built around a single padel racket. The shell is moulded compressed EVA rather than padded fabric, so it holds its outline whether the bag is empty or full, and a flat panel of colour reads as one clean block instead of creases and shadow. Inside it carries one racket in its own compartment, balls, a bottle and the small things you actually take to a match, with a lined pocket for your phone, keys and cards. There is no shoe compartment. It is a day bag rather than a kit bag you half fill. Ten colours, all the same bag at the same price. Designed in South Africa, made in China.
