The colour the range was photographed in, which makes it the only one on this site where the photographs are the product rather than a representation of it. A soft purple with grey in it rather than pink, and the lightest colour we make.

Lilac Purple Overview

Lilac Purple is a warm purple rather than a cool one, which is unusual and is the reason it works on an adult bag. Cool lilacs go grey and clinical under flat indoor light. This one keeps a little warmth in it, so it stays soft without ever tipping into sweet.

It is the lightest colour we make, which means it holds its edge against a dark rack where the deeper colours start to merge into one another. In daylight it lifts and shows the warmth. Under floodlight it settles into something quieter. In both it stays unmistakably purple rather than drifting toward grey or toward pink.

It is also the colour the whole range was photographed in, so it is the bag we have had in hand longest and know best.

FAQ

Lilac Purple questions

Three things worth knowing about this colour before you buy it. Everything about the bag itself sits on the bags page.

Yes. This is the one colour where the photography is of the physical product. Every other colour on the site is digitally recoloured from these same photographs, and each of those pages says so.

It is the lightest colour we make, so it will show a mark sooner than Pitch Black or Deep Burgundy. What it gets in return is that it is the easiest colour in the range to pick out against a dark background, and the moulded shell keeps it from developing the scuffed corners that make a pale soft bag look old.

Possibly, because it is not really a pastel. The grey in it pulls it toward stone rather than toward sweet, which is what separates it from a lilac that reads as a children's colour. It is soft, not sugary.

The NomadX Hardshell Padel Backpack is built around a single padel racket. The shell is moulded compressed EVA rather than padded fabric, so it holds its outline whether the bag is empty or full, and a flat panel of colour reads as one clean block instead of creases and shadow. Inside it carries one racket in its own compartment, balls, a bottle and the small things you actually take to a match, with a lined pocket for your phone, keys and cards. There is no shoe compartment. It is a day bag rather than a kit bag you half fill. Ten colours, all the same bag at the same price. Designed in South Africa, made in China.

Lilac Purple is photographed from the physical bag rather than digitally recoloured, so what you see here is what arrives.
