Pitch Black Overview

On a soft black bag there is nothing to look at. The fabric absorbs the light, the shape collapses into whatever is inside it, and the result is a dark lump. On a moulded shell the panel lines, the shoulder of the racket compartment and the branding on the zip pull all catch light and read properly. Black becomes a surface rather than an absence.

This is the colour where the construction is the entire argument, because the colour is doing none of the work.

It is also the only colour in the range that will not help you find your bag on a club rack, which we would rather say here than let you discover on a Tuesday evening. If that matters more than the look, almost anything else in the range does it better.

Because some people want black and would otherwise buy from someone else. The difference is what the moulded shell does to it: the panel lines and the racket compartment shoulder read as form, where a soft black bag reads as a shape with nothing in it.

Honestly, no more easily than any other black bag, and most racks are full of them. This is the one colour in the range that does not help you there. Everything else does, and Electric Blue and Sunset Orange do it fastest.

No. Every colour is R890, the same shell, the same specification and the same bag. Black is a choice in this range rather than the default, which is the opposite of how most padel bags are sold.

The NomadX Hardshell Padel Backpack is built around a single padel racket. The shell is moulded compressed EVA rather than padded fabric, so it holds its outline whether the bag is empty or full, and a flat panel of colour reads as one clean block instead of creases and shadow. Inside it carries one racket in its own compartment, balls, a bottle and the small things you actually take to a match, with a lined pocket for your phone, keys and cards. There is no shoe compartment. It is a day bag rather than a kit bag you half fill. Ten colours, all the same bag at the same price. Designed in South Africa, made in China.
