Pre-order price

The loudest colour we make, and the one people ask about before they ask the price. Warm and fully saturated, closer to a late sun than a safety cone, which is the line orange has to walk to work on something you carry into an office.

Sunset Orange Overview

Orange is the colour that gives a moulded shell the most to do. A flat orange panel shows every knock and crease on a soft bag, because the lighter the colour the more a shadow registers. On a moulded surface that holds its shape there is almost nothing for a crease to form in, so this is the colour where the construction is most visibly earning its place.

It is the most photographed colour in the range for a reason. Against a blue court surface and glass it is the strongest contrast available, which is why it carries the centre of our own photography.

The risk with orange is that it tips into workwear or safety gear. This sits warm rather than fluorescent, which is what keeps it on the right side of that line, and it is the colour most often chosen by someone who wants their bag to be recognisably theirs from the car park.

FAQ

Sunset Orange questions

Three things worth knowing about this colour before you buy it. Everything about the bag itself sits on the bags page.

It is the brightest thing we make, so it depends entirely on what you want. It is warm rather than fluorescent, so it reads as a design choice rather than as high-visibility gear. If you want to be found on a rack without being the loudest bag in the club, Electric Blue or Cherry Red do most of the same job more quietly.

Any light colour shows a mark more readily than a dark one, and we would rather say that than pretend otherwise. What the moulded shell does is reduce the creasing and corner-scuffing that makes a soft bag look tired, which on a bright colour is usually what you notice first.

No. They are the two brightest colours we make, but orange is considerably deeper and warmer, and at any distance they read as clearly different. The two you could confuse at a glance are Cherry Red and Deep Burgundy, and only in poor light.

The NomadX Hardshell Padel Backpack is built around a single padel racket. The shell is moulded compressed EVA rather than padded fabric, so it holds its outline whether the bag is empty or full, and a flat panel of colour reads as one clean block instead of creases and shadow. Inside it carries one racket in its own compartment, balls, a bottle and the small things you actually take to a match, with a lined pocket for your phone, keys and cards. There is no shoe compartment. It is a day bag rather than a kit bag you half fill. Ten colours, all the same bag at the same price. Designed in South Africa, made in China.
