Overview

A clean 65mm rim strip with no serration, so the racket still reads untouched from the front.

A clean strip along the rim with no serration, so the frame is guarded and the racket still looks close to untouched from the front. Same 65mm width as the toothed profile, lower visual profile on the racket. This is the padel edge protector for a player who wants the protection without changing how the racket reads head on.

Key features

  • Rounded edge profile with no serration

FAQ

Finishes and fitting

What each finish looks like on a frame, what this shape covers, and how it goes on.

A fleck through the surface that catches the light as the racket turns, in ten colours from Baby Pink through to Black. Glitter is the finish for a player who would like the racket to be recognisably theirs from the other side of the court. Nobody else in padel makes one, which is the honest reason it exists.

A depth that shifts as the racket moves, in White, Red and Blue. Cat Eye is the subtlest of the decorative finishes and the one that reads best on a dark frame, where it catches the light rather than sitting on top of it.

A woven pattern in Black, Gold, Silver, Blue and Red that picks up the frame material rather than fighting it. This is the closest thing in the range to a factory finish, and the one to choose if you want the protector to look like part of the racket.

A racket that already looks exactly how you want it. It guards the frame and leaves the graphics alone, which is the whole brief. The only finish in the range designed not to be noticed.

For most play, yes. It guards the rim, which is where the great majority of contact happens. If you regularly scoop balls off the back glass and catch the face of the head doing it, the toothed profile covers more.

Barely. That is the point of this shape. From head on you see the rim colour and almost nothing else, where the toothed profile is visible across the face of the head.

No. Both use the same adhesive and the same 65mm width, and both peel for the same reason, which is a frame that was not clean and dry when the strip went on.

Yes. Peel the old one off, clean the frame, and fit the new one. They are the same price, so switching costs you one protector.

  1. Clean the frame and let it dry.
  2. Find the centre of the strip and line it up with the top of the frame.
  3. Peel the backing and press outward from the centre.
  4. Press firmly along the edge of the frame.
