Overview

A scalloped edge that follows the frame, 65mm wide, the widest coverage we make across the head.

The toothed profile has a scalloped edge that follows the shape of the frame, so it reaches further around the head than a straight strip can. It is 65mm wide against a 35mm mainstream, which puts coverage where the frame actually meets the wall on a defensive scoop. Pick this one if protection is the point and you do not mind seeing the protector on the racket.

Key features

  • Tabs cover the frame edge and both faces
  • Self-adhesive backing, no tools needed
  • Flexible, so it follows the curve of the frame
  • Nineteen finish and colour combinations, all R185

FAQ

Finishes and fitting

What each finish looks like on a frame, what this shape covers, and how it goes on.

A fleck through the surface that catches the light as the racket turns, in ten colours from Baby Pink through to Black. Glitter is the finish for a player who would like the racket to be recognisably theirs from the other side of the court. Nobody else in padel makes one, which is the honest reason it exists.

A depth that shifts as the racket moves, in White, Red and Blue. Cat Eye is the subtlest of the decorative finishes and the one that reads best on a dark frame, where it catches the light rather than sitting on top of it.

A woven pattern in Black, Gold, Silver, Blue and Red that picks up the frame material rather than fighting it. This is the closest thing in the range to a factory finish, and the one to choose if you want the protector to look like part of the racket.

A racket that already looks exactly how you want it. It guards the frame and leaves the graphics alone, which is the whole brief. The only finish in the range designed not to be noticed.

Yes. The scallops follow the curve rather than fighting it, and the strip is trimmed to length on fitting, so diamond, teardrop and round frames all take it.

No. The scallops are shallow and they sit flush against the frame rather than standing proud of it.

More than any other shape we make, which is the reason it exists. At 65mm it reaches well past the rim and onto the face of the head, where a 35mm strip stops short.

Yes, at the throat, where the two ends finish. Do not trim the scalloped edge itself, which is cut to profile.

  1. Clean the frame and let it dry.
  2. Find the centre of the strip and line it up with the top of the frame.
  3. Peel the backing and press outward from the centre.
  4. Fold the tabs over each face and press firmly.
